Refunds Available for Ulster County Pool Season Pass Holders
KINGSTON, NY - Due to the unanticipated closure of the County pool, season pass holders are eligible for a full refund. For more information about the refund process, please contact Jodi Corsa from the Department of Public Works (DPW) at (845) 340-3103.
This update follows the recent announcement from DPW that the Ulster County Pool, located at 241 Libertyville Road in New Paltz, will be closed for the season due to significant water loss. The cause of the water loss has been attributed to underground piping failures. Engineers have determined that major capital repairs will be needed, necessitating closure of the pool for the 2024 season.
We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause, and we are working with other municipal pool programs to support accommodation of additional patrons this season. More information will be provided as it becomes available.
2024 Ulster County Pool Complex Rules
PLEASE NOTE THE POOL IS CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
- Occupancy will be limited to 900 patrons (County reserves the right to further limit occupancy based on staffing levels).
- Season will run from June 15th thru September 2nd.
- Please wash and sanitize your hands as often as possible, including before eating, after sneezing, coughing or nose blowing, after use of rest rooms, after touching commonly touched areas (doorknobs, tables, chairs etc.). Please cover your face when sneezing or coughing.

The New Paltz Pool Complex offers summer enjoyment for all ages. The complex features an Olympic size swimming pool and two large Kiddie pools. All three pools have lifeguards on duty at all times. The facility is equipped with locker rooms and showers and there is a large pavilion with picnic tables and a snack bar. The pool complex also has a spacious lawn area for additional lounging and sunbathing and a newly added playground area for children ages 8 & under.
